BMW X3 M SUV Spotted Testing In India; Likely To Launch By Second Half

The BMW X3 M SUV has been spied testing in India for the first time, which is likely to be launched in India by the second half of this year i.e. 2020. The SUV is expected to be priced somewhere in between Rs 1.2 crore to Rs. 1.5 crore.



BMW, the German car manufacturer revealed the BMW X3 M globally last year. The carmaker is looking to launch the SUV in India. Likely to be launched in India by the second half of this year, the BMW X3 M has been spotted testing in Mumbai ahead of its India debut. The spy shot shows the SUV fully camouflaged featuring the signature-style kidney style grille at the front with signature LED DRLs. The picture also gives a clear glimpse of the 20-inch alloy wheels, which are offered on the X3 standard variant. So, it is safe to assume that the company might introduce only the standard X3 M in India.





  • The BMW X3 SUV comes powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline six-cylinder petrol mill. 
  • The petrol engine produces a maximum power of 473 bhp against the peak torque of 600 Nm. 
  • Transmission duties will be carried out by an 8-speed automatic gearbox with all-wheel drive system sending power to all the four wheels.





When launched in India, the BMW X3 M is expected to be priced somewhere in between Rs 1.2 crore to ₹ 1.5 crore.

TATA Nexon EV catapults experiential marketing to next level.

Tata Motors in partnership with Godrej L’Affaire, Godrej Group's luxury lifestyle experiential platform, displayed the capacities of its newly launched Tata Nexon Electric SUV.






The focus of Tata’s marketing strategy is to participate in events that includes test-driving experiences, which brings word-of-mouth and referrals for the brand. Godrej L’Affaire is one such platform to augment the ultimate electric experience for those who appreciate finer things in life. Their aim is to introduce the future of mobility and proliferate a lifestyle change while providing a surreal experience towards being environmentally conscious. To further boost the experience, they have installed Tata Nexon EV virtual demo setup at select Tata Croma stores in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.


The Tata Nexon EV was launched in early 2020 at a starting price of Rs.13.99 lakhs. This new electric car from Tata functions on cutting-edge Ziptron technology that assures a speedy performance.
 The Tata electric car is fitted with ARAI certified anxiety-free range of 312 km on a single charge, an efficient high voltage system, fast charging capacity, long battery life, class leading safety features and 35 connected features offered by Tata Motors Z-Connect app. In comparison with other cars Tata Nexon Ev is better.



The Tata Nexon EV does not have any competitors in its pricing range. However, the Mahindra XUV300 electric vehicle could come by in 2021.

Mahindra Bolero BS6

Mahindra Bolero BS6 Launched At Rs 7.98 Lakh


Mahindra’s bestselling SUV, the Bolero, has now been upgraded to meet  BS6 norms. It is now available in three variants: B4, B6, and B6(O). The entry-level BS6 Bolero is costlier by Rs 37,000 over its BS4 counterpart owing to the upgrade.



  • The biggest change has happened under the bonnet.
  • In the BS6 avatar, the facelifted Bolero is powered by Mahindra’s mHawk D75 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 76PS of power and 210Nm of torque. 
  • The 1.5-litre unit was seen in the BS4 Bolero Power+ with the D70 badge, where it developed 71PS and 195Nm. 
  • It continues to be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.





Mahindra has priced the BS6 Bolero's B4, B6, and B6(O) variants at Rs 7.98 lakh, Rs 8.64 lakh, and Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively, while the BS4 version was priced from Rs 7.61 lakh to Rs 8.99 lakh. The price of the entry-level variant has gone up, the top-spec Bolero continues to be priced at Rs 8.99 lakh.

5-door Suzuki Jimny

Larger, 5-door Suzuki Jimny being readied for India launch

Suzuki Jimny will come to India with a larger, new 5-door body style that’s in development. An official privy to information of the project confirmed the news to Autocar India.



A larger cabin and the addition of rear doors will make this 5-door Jimny suitable to family buyers. The Jimny 5-door will be no different to the 3-door model in its basic ingredients. The 5-door Jimny will be built on a:


  • Ladder-frame chassis
  • Feature rigid axles at both ends
  • Four-wheel drive with low-range transfer case



The India-spec 5-door will come powered by the 105hp, 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that can also be found in the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Ertiga and Vitara Brezza.


Manufacture of the 3-door Jimny is set to commence at Maruti Suzuki’s Hansalpur plant in Gujarat, around June 2020, with the entire production earmarked for exports. Production of the 5-door Jimny will commence six months later with the output shared between India and export markets. Maruti will retain the Jimny 5-door at its premium Nexa outlets with prices to start just under Rs 10 lakh.
